Anne has a deep regard and empathy with all animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to spend her life living and working with them. After leaving school she was overjoyed to be offered a job in a veterinary practice which enabled her to study to become a Veterinary Nurse, a qualification she attained in 1984. Living above the veterinary practice as a student with two other nurses, she was allowed to have one cat. She carefully chose a black and white kitten called Figgy (pictured right) from a local rescue centre, and here began her deep love for cats.

As her work in the veterinary field continued, she rescued more and more cats from work, many of whom had been brought in to the surgery to be put to sleep. She then rescued two dogs, Venus and Vix (pictured left), who fitted in perfectly with all the cats. Living with so many animals became the norm for her and enabled her to understand how they all interacted. Years later in 2019 she decided to further her knowledge of cat behaviour by studying and attaining an Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour.

Anne's healing work with animals began in 2001 when she was first introduced to spiritual healing. Her dream to become a professional animal healer was realised several years later when she became a full healer member of The Healing Trust and a Reiki 2 practitioner. During this time she also became an Aura-Soma® practitioner and learnt how to converse telepathically with animals. This way of communicating with them touched her deeply and she found that she was able to feel what the animals were feeling, as well as being able to understand their point of view. They sometimes shared their own difficult experiences with her which she could then pass on to their humans. This often led to a deep healing in their relationship.

In 2011 Anne was intuitively guided to start using Aura-Soma Pomanders and Quintessences in her distant healing work with animals. She was astounded at how much they improved and since then has used them as an energetic support in every healing session.

Since Anne first began her spiritual journey she has been tirelessly supported by her own animals who have given of themselves in order for her to understand and learn. When she woke up one day with an irritating cough, she was concerned as she was due to teach a course on animal healing. As she began to teach she found that her throat was no longer bothering her. It wasn't until she returned home that she realised that Harry (pictured right) had helped her by taking on her cough for the day. He had stopped coughing at exactly the time she had finished teaching.

Some years later, Spotty (pictured left) alerted Anne to her need to change her lifestyle by vomiting each time she became stressed. It took her a while to realise that the two things were related, but when she cut back on her time working as a veterinary nurse and spent more time out in nature and working energetically with animals, his episodes of vomiting reduced to almost none. She is eternally grateful to all her animals for their loving support and the many lessons she has experienced with them.

Anne has learnt a lot from the animals she has worked with too. They have guided her on how best to help them and some have helped her to understand what has been happening in her own life too. Without their help she would not be able to work as effectively as she does and she feels honoured to be in such a trusted position.
